Biotech Laboratories is a NATA accredited commercial and public microbiological testing facility. Our modern laboratory operates 7 days a week providing analyses of a wide range of samples including water, food, soil, air and surfaces from both food premises and air-conditioning facilities.

Staff Appointments
We are pleased to announce that Tim Boyes has been appointed as Marketing Manager. Tim started working with Biotech Laboratories in 1996 and over the next 3 to 6 months will be taking over the role formerly held by Keren Buckby. Keren has been appointed the Operations Manager. Phil Smit remains as Office Coordinator and as such, the first point for contact with us for results and all enquiries.

New Analyses
We have just recently been granted AQIS approval for testing Escherichia coli O157 in meat and meat products.

Christmas / New Year Operating Hours
Biotech Laboratories will be operating over the Christmas-New Year Period with a skeleton staff. We ask you to ensure all samples, other than water, being submitted for analysis be received at Biotech by Friday 17 December. Water samples may be submitted up until Wednesday 15 December. We will be back in the New Year accepting all samples from Tuesday 4 January 2011.

Should the need for essential testing arise between the given dates, please contact us prior to submitting so that arrangements can be made to accommodate your needs.

Chemical analyses will not be processed between 15 December, 2010 and 4 January, 2011.
